Beyond the Summit hosted their first Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament over the weekend, and when the dust settled after all the top teams clashed, SK Gaming emerged victorious above all others.

SK Gaming's road to the final saw them take on the likes of Team EnVyUs and Gambit Esports, registering 2-0 wins against both, as well as a 2-1 victory over Cloud9, but they met Gambit yet again in the grand final after sending them to the losers' bracket.

Gambit themselves, despite being in the losers' bracket, had a strong run to the final, beating Godsent and Team Liquid 2-0 and then defeating OpTic Gaming 2-1 in the losers' final to get back to a rematch with SK Gaming, however, it wasn't to be their lucky day, despite winning the first match on Inferno 16-10. SK Gaming rallied, and Cache was won 16-2 in a total domination, Marcelo "coldzera" David playing a big part in this, carrying this momentum all the way to win the match 3-1.

SK Gaming received $63,750 USD for their troubles, and this marks the first tournament win of 2017 for the team. Do you think they can compete with fellow heavyweights like Astralis and FaZe Clan?
