Monster Hunter Stories for 3DS announced, first trailer

Surprise announcement for game due in 2016.

This weekend offered a surprise in Capcom announcing a new Monster Hunter spin-off, that seems more JRPG than anything. Check out the first trailer below:

It's a different style and spin for the series, and raises more questions than it answers, and sadly there's little in the way of concrete information at the moment.

Monster Hunter Stories is exclusive to Nintendo 3DS and is due out sometime in 2016.
