The Sims 4 - the most recent installment in Electronic Arts' long-lived simulation saga - celebrates its first anniversary tomorrow. It has been a particularly busy and intense year, during which the players engaged with the game world and its inhabitants over these last 365 days. To celebrate this important milestone, Electronic Arts has released a nice piece of infographics, where some interesting and curious facts about the game are revealed. For example, the number of hours gamers have spent playing the game (equivalent to 27,900 years!) and how many Sims they've created (93 millions).
5 million Sims have already died and among the most popular traits selected in the game we can find romantic (7.4%), cheerful (6.8%) and active (5.8%) ones. Finally 27.5 million marriages were celebrated, but at the same time we've had 1.7 million divorces (decent success rate compared to real-life). You can see all the data below. The Sims 4 is available on PC and Mac.
We weren't completely happy with The Sims 4 in our review one year ago, but since then it has received numerous free updates as well as one full size paid expansion (Get to Work) and the second expansion (Get Together) is due out in November.
