Zenimax Media, owners of Bethesda Softworks, has been making plenty of acquisitions in recent years. Their most recent purchase is the Texas based studio Escalation Studios that according to their homepage is working on games for PC, consoles, VR and mobile units.
Escalation Studios seems pleased with the deal and as is customary a few official statements were made. Marc Tardif, co-managing director:
"Zenimax Media's studios are responsible for some of the most iconic games in our industry. Becoming a part of this amazing family of developers is an honor for everyone at our studio."
The studio has previously worked with Bethesda, more specifically with Id Software, on last year's Doom. They made the level editor we've come to know as SnapMap.
