The free Not a Hero DLC pack for the acclaimed survival horror Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is no longer releasing this spring, Capcom has just announced. The company felt the need to explain the reasons with a new dev diary (available below) in which director Koshi Nakanishi, producer Masachika Kawata, and Executive Producer Jun Takeuchi say the following:

"Today we have some unfortunate news to share with you. The free Not a Hero DLC which was announced for Spring 2017 is going to be delayed. We were working very hard to get the DLC ready in time for the Spring release and we got close to completing the game content. However, in light of the incredible reception to the release of RE7 we concluded that this DLC was not good enough to meet those high expectations."

So we don't know when it's coming, but would you rather wait a bit longer to ensure high quality?
