Ok, we lured you in with clickbait, because we don't know for sure that a copy of The Elder Scrolls: Anthology, a collection that includes the five numbered Elder Scrolls games and their respective DLC, actually saved a man's life, but we do know that this particular boxed set stopped a bullet in its tracks.

This brilliant story came to us via Reddit, where user RabbitMix told a story about how he was minding his own business, enjoying his constitutional right not to get shot, when a bullet whistled through the wall of his home and buried itself into the aforementioned RPG collection that sat next to his gaming setup.

A close call then, and if true, an excellent excuse to surround yourself with expensive limited editions of your favourite video games. Who knows, maybe one day that super mega exclusive collector's edition will save you from an untimely death?!

Oh, and by the way, this story has a happy ending, after Bethesda offered to send him a new, bullet-free copy of the collection.
