Moltres and Zapdos are coming to Pokémon Go

We don't have to wait long for two new legendary Pokémon to arrive.

Last weekend, Niantic released the first legendary Pokémon into Pokémon Go, and we thought we'd have plenty of time to catch the two, but it turns out that's not the case.

The developer has announced that Articuno will be removed from the game on July 31, but fortunately this doesn't mean that Lugia will be the only legendary Pokémon remaining. Moltres will be flying in to take Articuno's place, and stay there until August 7, and our fire-spewing friend will then be replaced by Zapdos. We'll then be able to fight and catch the lightning bird until that also flies away on August 14.

We haven't heard anything about Lugia being removed or when Articuno will return, but it definitely seems like Niantic doesn't want to have all of the legendaries available at once. Perhaps they hope to keep us interested by making it harder to catch all of them right away? It'll be interesting to see what happens when Zapdos is removed in mid-August.

Have you managed to catch Articuno and/or Lugia?

REVIEW. Written by Clover Harker

"It isn't without its flaws, but what's there is engaging, innovative, and most importantly, fun."
