When you're breaking records and overtaking all the big hitters on PC, there's nothing left to do other than set your sights on the biggest game of all.

The continuing and surprising success of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has seen it outperforming even Valve's own games on Steam, and now the game's creator-in-chief, Brendan Greene, is recalibrating his ambitions for the last man standing shooter.

"Our sales curves are just going up. They're not slowing down," Greene told GamesIndustry in a recent interview. "I'm still waiting for that plateau, and it's just not happening yet."

He was then asked if there was room for PUBG to grow beyond its current size, to which he said: "I just look at League of Legends. 100 million active users a month, I think, something stupid like that?"

"If we play our cards right, maybe we can get to that level of users."

Do you think PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds will one day overtake League of Legends in terms of active players? Given the game's meteoric rise thus far, you certainly wouldn't want to bet against it...
