Today we've received some official details about PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds September update, revealing that an update is coming to the test servers as today, bringing plenty of new content with it, including the usual bug fixes and improvements too.

Vaulting was discussed at length in the post, as there are a number of issues preventing it from being implemented quickly. First is that the vaulting system "is not built on predefined objects or locations in the map. There are tens of thousands of objects that should be vaultable or climbable in Erangel. To perform the action, the geometry and properties of each object have to be dynamically detected and analysed. The algorithm is quite complex and requires rigorous testing and fine-tuning of the map." It's because of this testing that the time period will take longer, as they want to test thoroughly rather than just for a few days.

Another piece of welcome news for fans is that the team has implemented rules which mean idle players no longer earn BPs, and this feature will be monitored and improved alongside the current system going forward.

After discussing FPP servers, the post re-emphasises that the team are working hard to try and stay on track with the roadmap and leave early access before Q4 2017's conclusion, with more details about the official launch hopefully being shared later this month.

The full patch notes can be found here if you're interested. Do you think it can leave early access by the end of Q4?
