Bad news for Star Wars fans. Originally scheduled for May 24, 2019, Star Wars: Episode IX will not be released in theatres until December 20, a whole seven-month delay that is partly due to the recent director change.
As you may already know, the firm announced that J.J Abrams is taking the reins to direct the movie instead of Colin Trevorro, who left for a scenario related disagreement. The director returns to the universe created by George Lucas after directing Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
Whether this is good or bad news for the iconic franchise remains to be seen, but at least this allows a form of continuity for this new trilogy. How do you feel by this report?
