Bungie posted on their Twitter account messages of apology for a white supremacy symbol found on one of the pieces of equipment in-game:

"It's come to our attention that a gauntlet in Destiny 2 shares elements with a hate symbol. It is not intentional. We are removing it. Our deepest apologies. This does NOT represent our values, and we are working quickly to correct this. We renounce hate in all forms."

The studio assured that the gauntlet in question was going to be deleted, without specifying directly which item was concerned. But the community quickly pointed to the Hunter's Road Complex AA1, which has a logo that shares some similarities with the Kekistan flag, a symbol used by white supremacists and is now associated with them.

After yesterday's update, the item in question was not removed but changed, as Bungie explained later in a tweet:

"This imagery has been removed from the shared game world. It will be removed from inspections and icons in a hot fix planned for next week."

Do you excuse this unwelcome incident?
