We expected it very soon, and it just launched by complete surprise: Pro Evolution Soccer 2018's Data Pack 1.0 is available to download on all versions (including old-gen), bringing a lot of new stuff.
First off, as illustrated with the picture below, the game now adds 117 new/updated faces, all using Konami's latest 3D-scanning tech. On top of that, Master League now includes new cutscenes and backgrounds to enhance the atmosphere outside the pitch.
In terms of kits, Champions League teams such as Atlético de Madrid and Roma AS get updated shirts, and as usual the DP1 also adds a good bunch of new boots from brands such as Adidas, Mizuno, Puma, and Joma.
What the DP1 doesn't include yet is the promised new stadium(s), so perhaps they'll come with the second pack, which is expected before the year's end.
Konami's Senior Director of Brand and Business Development, Jonas Lygaard, defines PES 2018's launch as "the most successful ever" (without giving specific numbers), so it looks like the game improvements, the PES League's approach, and partners model is paying off for the series.
Which is your highlight in Data Pack 1.0?
