Rumour: Pokémon Go adding Generation 3 Pokémon

Pokémon Go players can probably catch the third generation of Pokémon at the end of this month, as it looks like Generation 3 will be introduced at a special Halloween event.

This rumour comes from Reddit group The Silph Road, who datamined a recent app update and found Generation 3 sounds and badges, as well as a new loading screen showing Generation 3 Pokémon. The loading screen looks like it will be used for the Halloween event and shows Dusclops, Shuppet, and Sableye.

The datamine also hints at special Halloween variants of Pokémon, like developer Niantic has already done with Christmas-themed Pikachus last December.

The third generation included 135 Pokémon and was introduced for the first time in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire for the Game Boy Advance. Which Generation 3 Pokémon are your favourites though?
