Halloween is almost here, and that means one thing - special events for your favourite games. One of those to have such an event in Psyonix' Rocket League, running its first ever Haunted Hallows event right now.
There's a new limited-time currency with this event, Candy Corn, and you can earn this by playing online matches. You can then use it to redeem items like Decryptors and Haunted Hallows crates, with the items you earn carrying over until after the event has finished. Decryptors are how you unlock crates in the game, and the only way to earn these is to use Candy Corn.
There are three ways to get the Haunted Hallows crates though. Some drop after only matches as usual, and you can also buy a crate with Candy Corn, but you can also buy crates directly just as you would buy keys, meaning you won't need a key or decryptor to unlock.
"Finally, the Haunted Hallows Event Crates will not be updated for next Halloween. If you decide to wait a year to open one of these Crates, it will still have the same potential item inside as it does during this event," the post adds.
The event has already started, and will run until Monday, November 6, at 18:00 BST. Do you like the sound of a spooky Halloween-themed session of Rocket League?
