One of the biggest names on the board game, role-playing, and card game scene, Fantasy Flight Games, has opened up a new video game studio that's being tasked with adapting existing Fantasy Flight games to digital as well as creating new games based on Fantasy Flight properties.

Headed up by former Human Head CEO Tim Gerritsen no firm plans of what they might be cooking up is currently available.

Fantasy Flight Games has a diverse line-up of products including card games, minitiatures and board games and they have been responsible for board game adaptations of popular video game brands such as Doom, Fallout, Civilization, Xcom, and so on. Their range of games also includes licensed products based on Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, but given how licenses work it is highly doubtful that they can make video games based on products like Star Wars Armada and X-Wing or their Lord of the Rings board games.

"We're incredibly excited to be bringing Fantasy Flight Games' best game properties to life as amazing video game experiences," said Gerritsen via press release. "Fantasy Flight Interactive is made up of developers who love both tabletop games and video games and we are striving to create games that capture the best aspects of both media to entertain our fans."

We'd love to see some of their Lovecraft titles adapted, like Arkham Horror or Mansions of Madness.
