As summarised by Nintendo Everything, here are the total sales figures, sales profits, and sales projections (note the forecast for the Switch being increased to 14 million):

- Switch hardware forecast increased to 14 million (from April 2017 to March 2018)

Speaking in particular about software, Nintendo reports the great performance of Splatoon 2, which has sold 3.61 million copies, and the performance of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Arms also continue to be very good.

There's also good news with regard to 3DS console sales, which saw a significant increase after the global launch of the New Nintendo 2DS XL (2.86 million units sold, up 5% on the previous year). As far as gaming is concerned, there has been a significant decline of 28%, with 13.82 million units sold, despite titles such as Metroid: Samus Returns and Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia doing pretty well.

The SNES Classic Mini has also been released recently, but the Japanese company hasn't provided official data, as the console was released in Japan only this month (and therefore, out of the period under review). Amiibo's performance was also good, of which 5.10 million units were sold.

How well can the Switch do in the future?
