Super Mario Odyssey only released last Friday, and now in a recent financial report Nintendo has revealed how well the game has sold, and it's pretty good news for the mascot, who's had yet another successful outing.

Nintendo estimates that the global sales of the game have already passed two million units in the first three days alone, and add that "the game appears to be meeting those [high] expectations, judging by its high review scores from the gaming media and players' positive comments on social media."

The report also adds that the company plans to make more Switch systems available as we move into the holiday season, as they hope to increase the number of players who want to purchase the new game.

"By releasing this product against a backdrop of maintained and growing buzz around Nintendo Switch, which also has continually high usage rates, we think this will give us a big edge heading into the holiday season," the report adds.

This isn't overly surprising, as we reported last Friday that Mario is the second best selling game of the year on Amazon, but did you expect two million units to be sold?
