The hay days of video games on Kickstarter may be long gone, but it's still an important platform for smaller developers to find funds to realise their dream projects. One such studio is Nodding Heads Games, a studio made up of Indian game developers with plenty of experience. It offers a neat handpainted artstyle and recently got a 95 percent approval from the Square Enix Collective community.

This is how the game is described:

"Raji An Ancient Epic is an action adventure game set in ancient India. Raji, a young girl is chosen by the gods to fight against the demonic invasion of the human realm. Her destiny is to rescue her younger brother and face the demon lord Mahabalasura."

Nodding Heads Games has worked for 10 months on the game that they hope to release by June 2019, but in order to complete it they are looking for £120,000 on Kickstarter, having secured pledges of less than 10 percent thus far it is far from a certainty that the modest goal will be achieved. Then again there are 32 more days to go on the campaign. The base target of the campaign only ensures a PC version, but console versions (PS4, Switch, Xbox One) are mentioned as stretch goals.

If you want to sample the game there's a demo available for download via Steam now.
