Could Jake Gyllenhaal replace Ben Affleck as Batman?

Apparently he's being eyed by the director.

Last week we reported that actor Ben Affleck may well be thinking about hanging up his cape for his role as Batman, and now some new rumours suggest a new actor is begin investigated for the job.

Now CinemaBlend reports that in the newest episode of John Campea's YouTube show the host mentions that he has heard that Jake Gyllenhaal is one of the actors the director is eying for the role in the upcoming film The Batman.

He also says Ben Affleck stopping as Batman was already a "foregone conclusion" since the beginning of this year. Gyllenhaal's role as Bruce Wayne isn't guaranteed though, but he's the name that's floating around as a candidate.
