Dice accidentally revealed the release date for Battlefield 1's Turning Tides expansion over the weekend, so we already knew that Premium Pass owners will get it on December 11, but it actually turns out that's not the entire story, as the developers have announced that the expansion actually will consist of two content drops, one on December 11 and one in January.

The first drop will include the Cape Helles and Achi Baba maps, the new Infiltrator Elite Class, six weapons, two melee weapons, and access to the L-Class Destroyer. We'll then have to wait a few weeks for the January drop to come with the Zeebrugge and Heligoland Blight maps, the new Royal Marines, and the option to "spawn on the C-Class Airship." Those who aren't Premium Pass owners will get each of these two weeks later, but still, you won't have to wait that long for new goodies.

Starting today, you can try out the They Shall Not Pass and In the Name of the Tsar expansions for free, this offer running through to December 4, before returning on December 8 - 10. It doesn't stop there either, as Frontlines Mode is coming to Suez on November 27 and the Fall of Empires Operation Campaign will be available from November 22 to December 6. The latter is a combination Conquer Hell and Iron Walls, which sounds fairly interesting in our opinion. It's also worth mentioning that the game and its Premium Pass will be a lot cheaper as part of different Black Friday deals, so now's your chance to either convince your friends to join the fight or upgrade to Premium yourself.

Have you been eyeing up these expansions?

"You can spot elements of the best parts of almost every Battlefield title in there, and when it's at its best it feels better than ever."
