Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus has done very well critically, but perhaps not quite as well from a commercial point of view. That might be the reason behind Bethesda's decision today.
They've announced that you can download a free trial version on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One right now. This will let you play the game's first level, and then continue from where you left off if you decide to purchase the entire thing. We really enjoyed the game, so we definitely recommend you try it out.
