Rumour: Remedy's Project 7 to mimic Destiny and PUBG?

Remedy has devoted themselves to creating beautiful narrative experiences for the best part of a decade, harking back to the original Max Payne all the way up to Quantum Break. Currently, they are working on a couple of mystery projects, one of them being referred to as "Project 7". Now fresh rumours suggest, that this may very well be a big departure for the studio.

Recently, the company updated the Careers section of their website, and here it's apparent, that for Project 7 they're looking for designers well versed in online systems. In fact they specifically single out Destiny and also hint at PUBG as references.

"Are you constantly thinking about intriguing ways to excite your players and keep them invested in your game's world? Are you obsessed with lore and a desire to create rich content that communities will devour? Do you design challenge systems that are so moreish your players plan their week around them? Have you already designed the next Battle Royale? Are you always among the first to find Xûr?"

That's not to say the game itself will be anything like those games, but it would appear as if P7 will feature some sort of open-world and that there may be dynamic elements and challenges as well as multiplayer.
