The Pillars of the Earth's Book 2 gets a release date

Daedalic Entertainment announced today that the second episode for their adventure game The Pillars of the Earth will be released December 13 on Steam, at the end of December 2017 on GOG, and in late January 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

"With this chapter of the story, we sought to really raise the stakes for the characters we've met and grown attached to," says Matt Kempke, author and game designer.

Kevin Mentz, also author and game designer, adds: "It's a much faster paced, more action-packed experience. But we did our best to maintain focus on the poignant storytelling from Ken Follett's original while adding more interactive moments."

Book 2 - Sowing the Wind continues the story from Book 1 - From the Ashes and the best-selling book series of Ken Follett. Players who bought Book 1 get access to Book 2 and 3 for free, and other players can buy the first two Books (and third) for £26.99 on Steam/GOG or £31.99 on console. Book 3 - Eye of the Storm is scheduled for a release in May 2018, so you've got plenty of time to decide.
