According to Source Gaming, Nintendo has already begun working on a new The Legend of Zelda game to succeed Breath of the Wild. Series mastermind, Eiji Aonuma, confirmed as such during an interview regarding the Master Books The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild book, which is coming to the west next year.
There's no additional information regarding the game, but we presume it will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive. We also assume we won't be seeing the game for a while, at least looking at the latest development cycle. Between Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild, we had to wait five and a half years, and production on Breath of the Wild began shortly after Skyward Sword.
Reading comments on forums, fans seem to be somewhat divided. Some want the series to stick with the new open world structure, while others are asking for a return to a more dungeon-based design.
