Bungie is having a pretty rough time as of late, as a number of their decisions have ruffled the feathers of the Destiny 2 fanbase, and now another case has emerged that has got fans up in arms. This time, it's set around the return of the fan-favourite event from the first Destiny, The Dawning, which recently arrived in the sequel, where several new modes are made available as well as new rewards.

GamingBolt is reporting, however, that the new Dawning armor is not available through normal Bright Engrams, which are either purchased with money through the Eververse store, or earned by filling the XP bar. Instead, a player that wishes to obtain the armour has to spending Bright Dust, which is earned through Bright Engrams, and apparently the amounts are so high that it's clear that these new items were designed and implemented for paying players.

Also, breaking down shaders earned from regular quests yields no Bright Dust, players have discovered, but breaking down shaders bought with real-world currency bought from Eververse yields a whopping seven Bright Dust, further hammering home the point that Bungie wants the players to spend.

GamingBolt's report also says that this has caused uproar amongst Destiny 2 players, calling this yet another case of invasiveness by Bungie, pushing players to spend money. Has this annoyed you?
