Psyonix has announced another great milestone for Rocket League, the popular game that mixes racing and football in a truly unique combination, first launched in July 2015. As reported by the studio on Twitter, the game has officially reached 40 million players worldwide, very soon after it was announced last month, that 38 million players had been surpassed worldwide.

Psyonix hasn't specified the data for all the various platforms, but we assume that part of this is thanks to its recent launch on Nintendo Switch and various sales over the holiday period.

Well done, Psyonix!
