Today Capcom shared some new promo video for their upcoming action game Monster Hunter: World. In it, we get an additional look at some of the rather challenging Elder Dragons you'll encounter over the course of the game.

The Kushala Daora is a steel dragon that can control storm clouds and is protected by thick metal plates. The Teostra is one hot beast burning away everything that stands in its way. The last foe is the so-called Dodogama, an earth wyvern spitting explosive projectiles onto his enemies. Capcom made sure these enemies are no easy prey, as you can see in the video below.

In case you still want to dive into Monster Hunter: World prior to the release, Capcom has scheduled a third open beta on PlayStation 4. It is not yet clear whether or not PlayStation Plus is required, but we think it is safe to assume so. Players can experience the life of a hunter once more between January 19 and January 22 and even uncover some surprise in it, too. Returning players can now try to hunt down the dangerous Nergigante dragon, a monster we saw in a previous trailer.

Last but not least the developer revealed some of their post-launch plans for the latest Monster Hunter iteration. After the initial release at the end of January players can expect "regular content updates" bringing back some iconic fan-favourites for free. The Deviljho, who was introduced in Monster Hunter 3 will make its comeback in "Spring 2018", but many more are said to be on their way according to Capcom.

Monster Hunter: World will release for PS4 and Xbox One on January 26 and later this autumn onto PC. You can learn more about one of January's biggest releases in our impressions piece if you feel like preparing for the hunt.
