Last December, Microsoft surprised us by revealing that Capcom's Monster Hunter: World would only take up 12.94GB of our precious Xbox One HDD storage space. We were a bit sceptical at first, expecting something bigger for an open world game full of massive monsters, but we've got another source that seems to confirm that this is true.

The Japanese box art of the PS4 version pretty much confirms the same, as it says that only 16GB of free space is required to install the new Monster Hunter, as we can see in the picture shared by PSU. It may come with a day one update that brings the size up, but nevertheless it's far less than we're used to seeing in other Triple-A games.

Monster Hunter: World will be on PS4 and Xbox One on January 26, although the PC version announced along the console one is coming later this year. Do you pay attention to download size?

"There's a whole new world for players to hunt in and plenty to do while they're there, which makes Iceborne an expansion well worth hunting down."
