Before Assassin's Creed, Prince of Persia was one of Ubisoft's biggest brands, but after the not so successful Prince of Persia released in 2008 on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, it seems the Assassin's Creed series has taken precedence. Many people miss the somewhat linear and straight forward stories, and Prince of Persia is often listed as one of the most missed franchises in the world of video games.

But despite the fact that nothing has happened for so long (save a lacklustre movie) and Ubisoft themselves keeps silent - the Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner has made it clear what he thinks on Twitter in a response to a fan question:

"Chrissy, I know a few other people who feel the same way. We're doing our best to make it happen!"

Since, Mechner was involved with the rebooted Sands of Time trilogy, and the movie, it is clear that he would likely be part of another reboot. At least it is good to know he is interested, and perhaps Ubisoft, owners of the franchise, would also be interested in mixing in a new Prince of Persia in between Assassin's Creeds.

Would you like to see Prince of Persia return?
