It's been in beta for some time now, but World of Warplanes is now officially released, it has been announced by Wargaming. The airborne MMO remains free-to-play, and you can sign up here if soaring through the skies and blasting your opponents to oblivion whilst piloting aircraft from the golden age of aviation in 15v15 battles tickles your fancy.

"The release of World of Warplanes marks a great moment for Wargaming, and we are extremely excited to offer players the next great chapter in our gaming universe," said Wargaming's CEO, Victor Kislyi. "Just as we did for World of Tanks, we'll continue to grow and evolve World of Warplanes with new content, nations, aircraft and game modes to keep our players fully engaged and always eager to take to the skies."
